Willy Wonka: We have so much time, and so little to do! Waite a minute. Strike that, reverse it.

Here's how big his head is. Those are MY daily driver sunglasses he's wearing in this picture and the one from the last post. Not some cute, kid size pair from Baby Gap. Mine.

It's been busier than Wonka's factory around here lately. Jen got sworn in to the California State Bar a couple of weeks ago in Napa. Sister Beth and cousin Abby came to town for the affair, and spent a rainy afternoon with us here in the burbs. Auggie spent most of the prior week telling us how he wasn't gonna share any toys with Abby, but he could hardly get enough of her once she was here. After the swearing in ceremony, we had a swingin' party at the Morse Law office in Napa. Auggie got his first taste of the family business by returning some phone calls for Grandma Judy.

This is the third fall Auggie has helped me rake leaves, and the first time he could actually do some raking. Once I get the videos posted to YouTube, I'll link them here and you can all be impressed at what a good leaf raker he is.

Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses. Jake: Hit it.

Halloween

No trick or treatin' for us this year for the following reasons:

1. He's still a bit young and delicate.
2. He hates to wear stuff on his head
3. He hates wearing any sort of new clothing.
4. He doesn't really know about candy yet. No point in spoiling that for us.

We had fun anyway. We met a new friend, "Jack", and he liked handing out candy to the other kids.
